Getting started
How do I start playing?
- Create your account on this site and confirm your email address with the link we send you.
- Download the launcher (the link appears on this site when the public test opens) and run 2MoonsRebirth.exe.
- Read the terms of use and privacy policy, then press Accept and continue.
- Choose where to install the game. The launcher downloads and installs the game files.
- Sign in with your account name and password (or Sign in with Google), then press Start game.
Can I start the game from the website?
Yes. Log in here and press Play at the top: the launcher opens and starts the game for you. If nothing happens, install the launcher first and press Play again.
Can the game go straight into the world?
Yes. Open Game start options at the bottom of the launcher and pick your server, character and channel. With all of them chosen, Start game takes you straight into the world.
I closed the launcher, but it is still running.
Closing the window keeps the launcher in the system tray, next to the clock. Double-click its icon to open it again; right-click the icon and choose Exit to close it for good.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The launcher and the game are 64-bit Windows programs; nothing else needs to be installed.
- Graphics: a graphics card with DirectX 9 support (the game draws with Direct3D 9).
- Disk space: about 12 GB for the game, plus 1 GB extra free while installing or updating. The launcher checks this before it starts.
- An internet connection for signing in, playing and updates.
Tested on Windows 11, 64-bit. We haven't measured the lowest processor, memory or graphics card the game needs yet.
Launcher messages
What the launcher's messages mean and what to do.
“Not enough free disk space: … needed, … free on C:\”
The launcher needs the size of the download plus 1 GB free on that drive. Free up some space, or press Change next to the game folder at the bottom of the launcher and install on another drive.
“Updating the game…”, “Updating the launcher…”, “Downloading…”, “Repairing…”
That's normal. The launcher keeps itself up to date, and before the game starts it brings the game up to date and repairs damaged game files by itself. Let it finish. If you stopped it (“Install cancelled.”), press Start game to try again.
“Launcher … is out but couldn't be installed.”
A new launcher version is ready, but it couldn't replace itself. Right-click the tray icon, choose Exit, then start the launcher again.
“This game version isn't supported by the launcher.”
Your launcher is too old for the current game. Restart it so it can update itself. If the message stays, download the latest launcher from this site.
“Can't reach the login server” or “Can't find the game server right now”
Check your internet connection. The server may also be down for maintenance: the status on the home page and the news say so. Try again in a few minutes.
“We updated our terms or privacy policy.”
Read them and press Accept and continue to keep playing. Decline and exit closes the launcher.
“The game closed while starting”, “The game did not start correctly” or “The game could not be started”
Press Start game again. If it keeps happening, restart your PC and try once more. Still no luck? Write to support@2moons-rebirth.com with the message and the code it shows.
“Account banned”, “This PC is blocked” or “Your connection is blocked”
The account, the PC or the internet connection is blocked until the date shown, or permanently. If you think it's a mistake, write to support@2moons-rebirth.com with your account name.
Account and sign-in
The launcher asks for a 6-digit code.
Your account uses 2-step verification. Enter the code from your authenticator app, or the code we emailed you. Lost your phone? Enter one of your recovery codes instead: each one works once. Turn 2-step verification on or off on your Account page (log in, then click your name at the top).
“Confirm your email address first.”
Open the link we emailed you. No email? Check your spam folder, or log in on this site and send a new link from your Account page.
I forgot my password.
There's no reset page yet. Write to support@2moons-rebirth.com from the email address on your account and tell us your account name; we'll help you get back in. Never send us your password.
How do I change my email address?
Log in and open your Account page. We send a link to the new address; your current one stays active until you open it.
What can my account name and password be?
Account names are 3 to 20 letters, numbers or _. Passwords need at least 8 characters and can't be your account name.
How do I delete my account or get a copy of my data?
Write to privacy@2moons-rebirth.com from your account's email address. The privacy policy explains what happens.
Playing on this server
How big can a party be, and how is EXP shared?
Up to 7 players on most maps; a few event maps allow 3. When the party is full, an invite says “The Party is full.” Every party member on the same map who is alive gets EXP from each kill. On most maps each member gets the full EXP, as if they had hunted alone; on the others each member's share gets smaller as the party grows. The game's own party table sets this for every map.
Do I lose EXP when I die?
No. Dying doesn't cost EXP on this server.
What does sending mail cost?
100 DIL postage for each mail, on top of any DIL you send with it.
How much do NPC shops pay for my gear?
The game's own price table: each socket and each extra option on an item raises what a shop pays for it.
Why did a monster drop a whole stack?
Monsters and treasure boxes drop stackable items as a full stack (for example ×20), as the game's drop tables list them, instead of one at a time. Gear can also drop with extra options and empty sockets: see Items and drops.
What do hunting guild wars pay?
Guild points by final rank: 5,000 for first place, 3,000 for second, 1,000 for third, and 500 for every other guild that scored.
Items and drops
What do “Magic Item”, “Noble Item” and “Divine Noble Item” mean?
Gear from monsters can drop with extra options: bonuses such as more attack or more HP. The coloured line at the top of the item's tooltip tells you how many it has:
- - Magic Item - (blue): 1 or 2 options. A Magic drop has 2.
- - Noble Item - (purple): 3 options.
- - Divine Noble Item - (yellow): 4 options.
Gear without a line is a normal item. Which options an item gets, and how strong they are, is rolled when it drops, so two Noble swords can be quite different. How often each kind drops depends on the item. An item with 5 or more options shows - Exceeded - in red; drops never have that many.
Why does a dropped item have empty sockets?
Some gear drops with empty sockets, up to 4. Pick up a socket stone in your bag and put it on the item to fill one.
